Twilight: Breaking Dawn – Movie Review

Twilight: Breaking Dawn – Movie Review

If you are not a fan of the Twilight series you will be bored for about 40 minutes. It starts out with the wedding of Bella and Edward. I love weddings so I got some pretty good decorating ideas, and shared Bella’s disgust for high heels. The scenery was beautiful especially when they went on their honeymoon. The full moon, the water, the intense love making, I love a man who can break a bed! (meow) But other than that it was a yawn fest. One thing I appreciated in this movie, besides within the first few minutes Jacob’s shirt was off – YES!! I appreciated COLOR! In the other movies the color is muted but they turned up spectrum a bit more and that was really nice.

Now I have to say that I am on the side of Team Jacob and if you are already on his team this movie will strengthen your loyalty for sure! Can you say living breathing red blooded ALIVE man??? Edward was just as sullen and melancholy in this movie so much so I wished a random stray wolf would have sprung out of no where and bit is friggin’ head off. Or if Bella’s father would have produced a wooden stake from behind a bench and lunged at him during the wedding, which by the expression on his face I thought he just might, but alas none of that happened so I dealt with seeing his non-smiling ass on the screen and waited for Jacob to return which he did quite a bit in this film. Thank you! You really have to give it to Jacob and I did feel sorry for him even more in this movie but he is a fighter, a warrior, and a much better choice in my opinion. Is it obvious he is my kind of guy?

As for more detail about what happens after the honeymoon, can’t say because it will give away part one but I’m happy to say it picks up once they get back mainland. For the true fans of this series you already know. From the previews you know that the honeymoon was “successful” and Bella comes back VERY knocked up!! So worth watching? Yes. Worth the trip out to see it, in the rain I might add, yet after being cooped up in the kitchen and eating turkey leftovers it was nice to eat popcorn and Bunch a Crunch. So if you can manage through the first several minutes (almost a full hour folks) of the movie the end is pretty damned good and makes me really want the second part to hurry up and come out! Like I said, I am no fan of the series and even less of a fan of vampires in general but I can’t wait for the final part to the series!! It feels like its gonna be really exciting!

  1. Good review! I also loved the scenery, they have never had much of a problem with that! Check out my review and comment or subscribe!
